Electro Harmonix Lester G

Leslie simulation is ad difficult task for pedal builders. Although this certainly is a nice Leslie pedal, it is not the sound I was looking for.
Pro's : very nice feature set with sustain, drive, compression, ... . I Iike the fact that it is stereo out ! And it has expression input.
Soundwise it can get really organlike at high speed with much sustain

Con:
The sound is eq'd nice but I miss this doppler effect. Something in the bas or so is not sweeping enough. When I compared to a Mobius, I found this sweeping much more present in the Mobius rotary sound. The Lester ties more to their organlike pedals (c9, B9, Mel9 etc). It sounds flatter then the Mobius that is very mid-focused. I liked the take on univibe with the Good Vibes more then the Lester for a Leslie speaker.
But this is a strict personal approach of how a rotary should sound. Other people would like the Lester very much. It is a good pedal.

Das Gerät bietet alle Features der Lesley-Box, der Sound ist sehr sehr gut.

Die Regler erlauben sogar niedrigere als auch höhere Rotationsgeschwindigkeiten einzustellen, als die original Lesleys es bieten, allerdings klingen mM nach vor allem die höheren nicht mehr so schön.

Der Betrieb mit einem Espressionpedal empfiehlt sich, da sich mehr direkt beeinflussbarer Spielraum zwischen den einzeln einstellbaren Werten ergibt.

Die Bauweise ist EHX typisch sehr stabil, ein Netzteil ist dabei.

Schöner Nebeneffekt:
Der eingebaute Kompressor arbeitet gut, wenn man den Rotor mit der Braketaste zum Stillstand bringt, lassen sich mit Attack auf links und Sustain auf rechts gedreht schöne anschwellende Sounds kreieren.

Der einzige Nachteil, den ich aber nicht in Abzug bringe, ist, dass das Gerät einigen Platz auf dem Board einnimmt.

Ich mochte diesen Effekt schon immer, mein geliebtes Korg G4 hat aufgrund seiner Plastikbauweise irgendwann gestreikt. Das Lester G klingt mindestens genau so gut, ist allerdings viel besser verarbeitet.
