Serious Drum Kit for the money!

A stalwart of acoustic drum kits, this Yamaha Stage Custom is a very respectable instrument and delivers on all fronts. The quality and build is super and most importantly the sound is great punching way above its weight at the price point. All said, you will not go wrong with this beautiful instrument- the Grande piano of my livingroom, love it!

Awesome kit

The kit was backordered, but it was worth the wait. It was my 1st time to put together a kit, but I was done with it after a couple of hours.

The sound of this kit is balanced and harmonious. Playing it feels great. Highly recommended :)

Qualité et très classe

Cela fait 2ans et demi que j'ai eu ce beau joujou , utilisation en location Live durant la première année d'acquisition et maintenant utilisation uniquement en Studio. Sa couleur donne une image d'un e batterie Pro , tous les batteurs qui passent dans notre studio tombaient amour d'elle :))
Aspect extérieur et esthétique, rien n'a changé depuis ces 2 années et demi même après plusieurs concerts.
Que du bon son , je lui ai mis comme peau des Tom des Evans black chrome .
Yamaha est vraiment serieux sur tous leurs produits et Les equipes de Thomann sont des Pro , produits bien emballé , livraison dans les délais respectifs, toujours vous informer à au debut jusqu'à la fin de votre commande.
Je recommande fortement , je crois que ce Stage custom restera dans mon studio d'ici 5 ans.

Das Yamaha Stage Custom habe ich mir vor ungefähr einem Monat gekauft. Es wurde in einem einzigen Karton angeliefert. Einiges musste noch montiert werden. Keine grosse Sache.

Das Drumset macht bisher einen sehr guten und soliden Eindruck. Scheint alles ordentlich verarbeitet zu sein (Gratungen, Finish, Hardware…) und klingt toll. Die Werksfelle scheinen auch ganz brauchbar zu sein. Ich habe allerdings die Schlagfelle von Snare und Toms gegen höherwertige ausgetauscht, die mir bereits vertraut waren.

Entgegen den Erwartungen gefällt mir auch die mitgelieferte Snaredrum sehr gut. Sie klingt in unterschiedlichen Stimmungen von tief bis hoch richtig gut und lässt sich butterweich stimmen. Da die Gewinde so smooth laufen, verstimmt sie sich durch Rimshots relativ schnell. ich werde versuchen, das mit Tama Tension Locks in den Griff zu bekommen.

Ursprünglich hatte ich das Yamaha Tour Custom ins Auge gefasst. Dieses wird aktuell aber fast nirgends mehr angeboten und scheint im Vergleich mit dem Stage Custom ein deutlich schlechteres Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis zu haben. Die einzige Sparmassnahme beim Stage Custom scheint mir die Anzahl Spannböckchen beim Floortom zu sein (nur 6 Lugs statt 8 beim 14er Floortom). Der Spannreifen gibt dementsprechend beim Zentrieren des Fells deutlich nach. Eventuell werde ich das durch einen Gussspannreifen ausgleichen. Mal sehen.

Alles in allem jedenfalls „Daumen hoch“, absolute Kaufempfehlung.
